  1. Hello,

I wish to use a player to play a huge list of files in a folder randomly but use an exclusion list.
PotPlayer and Vlc can start randomly playing files on demand in a folder very easily.
But I don't know how to build an exclusion list for filenames that include certain words or names.
I don't mind the player. It can be PotPlayer, VLC, MPC, whatever....
As long as it can do what I need.

I know of NO players that do an exclusion list.

However, there are varying levels of random play.
    1. Random play of all files
    2. Random play of all files in a folder
    3. Random play of all files in a stored playlist

If you have #3 and can store and export and import your playlists, then you can use an external batch grep-like tool to modify that external playlist, subtract(filter) the grepped list from the whole, so that when reimported, you can then randomize it.

  3. Thank you. I will go for #3, when I learn how to do a grep.
