    Hi!

I'm archiving my old VHS Tapes. I have two VHS recorders, one is capable of S-VHS (Y/C) output, and the other does only composite.
I would like to capture via Y/C, bit unfortunately the video tears badly on this machine, when bright part parts are in parts of the image. I'va appended a picture showing the torn out edge. on the other player, everything is fine, but only composite output.

The Machine in question is the JVC HR-S9400 - is there any chance to adjust the image anywhere? It looks like the some signal cuts off somewhere, when the image gets to bright. I bet there is a potentiometer somewhere that could be adjusted…

    Thanks,
    Jörg

Unfortunately you need a VCR with line TBC to fix that or at least get a recommended DVD recorder connected in passthrough, I'm not familiar with PAL DVD recorders but there is a sticky thread in here about them.
