I recently bought from Amazon an external reader/burner with capacity for CD, DVD and blu-ray discs. It is Matshita BD-MLT UJ240EX, although it is sold with the name Dainty, and was released on Nov. 27, 2023.
The only connection is USB 3.0 or type C. No power connection. Please see the attached photo.
I’ve heard different opinions. Some people say that when it is not being used it should be unplugged from the PC (I use it with my PC, no laptop). Others say it doesn’t matter.
I would love to hear the opinions here.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

If you use the drive infrequently, unplug it and put it away to protect it from dust and accidental damage.
