sometimes when I burn vcd's they will turn out in black and white and other times in colour.
They are already in mgp format and I burn them all the same way.
My question is why do they turn out differently. I never know how they will turn out until I watch them on my dvd player.
Am I doing something wrong and if so what?
I don't do anything different from one time to the other.
Someone told me that maybe some of them were svcd's and others were vcd's when I downloaded them and that might be the problem as some dvd players don't like svcd's.
What do you think? Could this be the problem and if so then how do I tell the difference before I burn them?
As you can see I am very new at this.

Do a search on black and white PAL NTSC
Some of your mpg files are in PAL some are in NTSC your player or TV cannot handle playing the other format.
