  1. Hey. I'm very new to editing DVDs (Never done it before). I have a DVD with audio in Japanese and English, and subtitles in English, Chinese and Malay. When I select the English subtitle option, it changes the audio, and does not change the subtitles. The option to change the audio to English does the same. I imagine what happened is that the menu option was incorrectly set from the master. Is there any way to modify the menu options on my PC?

You can't fix the original DVD. All you can do is copy (rip) the DVD to your computer's HDD as a complete set of DVD files and folders and attempt to fix the copy. (It might be good to also use the ripping software to extract the DVD video, audio, and subtitles as separate files first to make sure that the English subtitles exist before attempting a fix.) Test your fixes using a software DVD player. If you succeed at fixing the copy, you would need to burn the copy to a DVD+R DL using Imgburn to be able to play the DVD with a hardware player.

You need DVD ripping software such as DVD Decrypter or DVDFab HD Decrypter to copy the DVD to your HDD as files and folders. DVDReMake Pro might be able to help you fix the problem. If not, there is PgcEdit but using it requires some knowledge of DVD commands. A computer programming background would also be very helpful if using PgcEdit, which has a trace feature. Note that it has been a long time since I used PgcEdit and I never tried DVDReMake Pro.
