My VCR has RCA out. Is there any hardware out there that converts RCA to FireWire? So I can capture my VHS video.
Or Coax to FireWire?
Or SVideo to FireWire?

The problem is that RCA, Coax and SVideo are analogue and firewire is for a digital signal. So you cant just have a cable with an analogue connector on one end and digital on the other, you need an analogue to digital converter. Some DV camcorders can be used as AtoD converters. Other products available are.

Personally, if I did'nt have a camcorder I would buy a DV camcorder with AtoD passthrough rather than one of these products, as I think they offer better value for money. -
I've got the ADVC-100 and it works great. I got it for $299 at www.guygraphics.com.
You can use it to capture analog or digital, and it can output in analog or digital.
