  1. Scratching my head forever trying to find out one one persons post explains how they achieved better results than anothers. Then trying it and seeing different results on my own machine... scratch head...repeat. I just figure something out that I never realized before.

OMG, does the actual player you use ever make a difference. Windows Media Player v.8.0 SUCKS!!!. Take the exact same capture run it thru Windows Player v.8.0, then run that same clip thru 'The Playa' supplied with Divx 4.0 -5.0 and the Playa looks much sharper. I then ran the same clip thru RadLight and it looked slightly better than Windows Media. Now I see why there's such a discrepency we need to commonize or state the player we use to play back our captures!

I have been capturing the station that provides the TV Listings so that I get a constant moving image with the same colors and same constant content. The only problem is 'The Playa' keeps locking up on me... grr. Anyways if anyone else find a stable player that produces the best image please post.

PS. If this is common knowledge and has been discussed please delete post, I was just excited to see my caps improve and wanted to share that. Win Media 8 blurs and adds blotchiness to my captures

WMP has never played my captures in synch.
Check out PowerDVD latest version. It plays my captures beautifully
