How to download a YouTube video archived by Wayback Machine

Hello,

so there's a video that's been deleted on YouTube, but archived on Wayback Machine, that I want to download. The archived page uses the JW Player 6.4... and the video plays, let's say, very reluctantly. I've tried everything from the Chrome Network/Media trick to Firefox video-downloading add-ons to Internet Download Manager (using PlayOnMac) and none of those seem to work.

I tried playing the video in full in my browser but it always stops buffering around the 2 minute mark. IDM and Firefox add-ons seemingly download the entire video but when I play it, it plays part of it and then abruptly skips to the end. Is it corrupted? Or is it possible that only part of the video was archived? I know that a similar issue was discussed earlier and IDM seemed to be the solution in most cases but it just isn't cutting it for me. Any ideas?

That must be the most disgusting thing I have EVER had the mis-fortune to waste my eyesight on. Little wonder yt removed it.

And, yes, the vid, or atleast the capture of it by the archive site, is corrupt in the manner you described. Dowload attempted by Jaksta Media Recorder 7.

But 'almost' is not all.

Methinks downloaders have an issue with the archive site. I had a message from Jaksta before I switched to a different method within that program that the site 'may use anti-leach features'

By all means keep trying. One day you may get it all. If it really is that important to you. I have seen enough.

I am trying to download a 1080p YT video(2, actually) from wayback, but it never plays in the HTML5 yt native player, it only plays in the dogshit JW player. Why is it dogshit, you might ask? Because the player downgrades the video from 1080p to 480 p or lower. But the original video that was archived should be able to be viewed in 1080p, right? Except I havent found a damn way. The only thing i could think of is to disable JW player somehow then use an extension to snatch the 1080p version(which I've tried to no avail) Can you please find a way for me to get the original 1080p version downloaded?
