  1. Im having a problem. I have just downloaded a movie that is a mpeg divided into 3 parts. For some reason, there is audio, but o video.

WMPlayer always requests a codec, and the first part has played video once, but not anymore?

I also have an avi file that wont play in any player because acording to the programs I have been using (WMPlayer, The Playa) it is not an avi file. How do I find out what type of format it is?

Are you sure the mpeg is not MPEG-2 ( SVCD / CVD / ... )? That will require PowerDVD, WinDVD, elecard MPEG2 codec, or other DVD player to be installed.

  4. Possibly an SVCD. I have PowerDVD installed, but aret sure if the version have will play SVCD or VCD for that matter.

Any info on how I could configure PDVD to play the files?

  5. To play a file in PowerDVD open and select the select source button. It's between the dial and the volume controls. Whe you've browsed for the file click add and ok it. The file will run automatically.

  6. Thanks for te info, but the files wont open in PowerDVD.

Could it possibly be a codec problem? Like I said, I have Nimo installed and cant really think of any codecs that I dont have installed.
