    Is it possible to use an .ac3 file as your menu background music so that that it plays in surround? If not, what formats can I convert it to that will retain the surround information?

    Is this for a DVD or for an (s)vcd.

    I know that (s)vcd will not play ac3 sound only mpeg audio.
    There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
