  1. Here is my problem...
I am using Studio 8, using it to create the DVD Image (which I will burn with NERO). The problem I am having is with the Menus...

All of my video is MPEG2 via TMPGenc.

    I have this setup:

    Menu1 three Links:
    a) Menu 2
    b) Chapter 1 of Title 2
    c) Chapter 1 of Title 3

    Menu2:
    a) Chapters 1 - 11 of Title 1

Menu3: NOT ACCESSIBLE but needed to define chapters in S8
    a) Chapters 1 - 10 of Title 2

No Chapters are in in Title 3

When I test the disk in Studio8 it works exactly the way I want it to.
When I compile the disk to the hard drive, and try it through PowerDVD
Everything works, except... When I select the Menu 1 Button to start the Title 2, it just loops back to the menu.

I have tried numerious allignments of how it is layout in S8, but it still results in the same effect...
    Any ideas?

  2. Did u actually manage to create menu with animated thumbs with MPEG2 files n Studio 8?

I have files compressed in TMPGenc that I want to author with animated thumbs in Studio 8, but I can not import MPG files into Studio 8, it just crashes… The only way was to import AVI files (rendered in Studio 8 itself) and compress them with Studio 8 engine, but I didn’t like the result….

  3. Yes, I was able to import the MPEG2 files from TMPGenc, and create motion thumbnails.

It did crash (file access error), when I attempted to do:
    1) Multiple Page menu's using S8 multiple menu scheme
    or
    2) Motion background and motion thumbnails.

S8 is good, but it by far not perfect.

It must be pretty hard to make a quality consumer cost DVD authoring program, as each product out there has something the other doesn't, but none of them have all the features...

  4. Which settings did u use in TMPGenc? I just can't import mpgs in to S8, and if it doesn't crash the files that I manage to import have corrupted sound...

  5. I am using the default CBR 4000 template that came with TMPGEnc. However, I am using the Paid For Version though, not the freeware version.

Maybe that is making a difference..
