    This is an older machine and was purchased in Mexico. Would like to be able to play DVDs from USA on it. Thanks!

    No harm in asking, but you should be aware that most requests don't have happy endings. Some DVD players can never be unlocked.

    Dude i have the answer, I hope it still could be useful (I spent some time figuring out the solution):
    1) open the disc try (using the control)
    2) press this sequence 9-7-3-5
    3) select multiregion (0)
