  1. I have a DVD Player that has a USB Port on it and it can Play all Video File Types.

One of the Video File Types is MPEG4.

I have a lot of DVDs that I Ripp to my PC Hard Drive.
I keep the .VOB Files on my Hard Drive and just Play them on my PC to Watch them.

So some of the Movies are Widescreen and some are Standard.

So I use the Program Format Factory to Convert them to MPEG4 but keep the Frame Rate and Frame Size the same as the Origanle.
And as for Aspect Ratio I set it to keep as Origanle.

And yes they all play good on my DVD Player but they all will have a Black Matt on Top and Bottom and both Sides.

So I thought maybe it is because I Converted my .VOB Movies to MPEG4 and this did something.

So I Converted them all to .VOB and just Changed the Audio to make the File small.

And they still Play back on my DVD Player with Black Borders all the way around.

It does keep the Right Ratio but has a Black Border around it.

    What is going on?

Are either of the borders, side or top, in the actual video? You can tell by opening them in Virtualdub2

  3. Well even if I am Converting a Widescreen Movie from a .VOB File from my Hard Drive to MPEG4 it does keep the Widescreen with the Black Bars on Top and Bottom.

But it also puts them on the Sides as well.
So it makes the Movie a Little bit smaller but it puts Black Bars on the Sides as well but it still looks Widescreen.

Why don't you upload a sample of your mp4 so we can have a look at it?

  5. I can not Upload a sample of my MPEG4 video.

When I go to Convert my .VOB File to MPEG4 it will do the whole thing.
And if I Stop it at any point it gets Rid of what it did so Far.

Let me ask what is a Good Free Video Converter?
I Love my Format Factory but I know it is very Old.

I want to Convert a lot of .VOB Files at one Time.
