Can we download adult oriented videos from youtube?

Hi all.

I can easily download videos from youtube but all my sources fail when downloading a video which requires an 'age consent' acceptance button on youtube. Which means adult oriented videos.

I am using a nice paid software called 'Youtube By Click' but it doesnt work on them. Another I use is a plugin for Firefox called 'Video DownloadHelper'.
There are also some online sites where you input the url and they download but they also dont work for it. Like www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001002.htm or https://keepvid.com.

You're right. youtube-dl was able to download the video from the link I posted, without a login.

They said they had to remove the functionality due to legal issues.

Well, its strange if the free version is downloading it; because my paid version does not download it. It says 'download failed'.
The videos I mentioned are not rented videos, just ones posted on youtube.

You can't just double clock on the exe, it's a command line program and requires you use it from the command line. It needs at least the url of the youtube video:

youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVYByUntyfY

You can use the batch file I made and posted here:

Follow the instructions in that post. Then you'll be able to download any youtube videos simply by going to the address bar in the browser and copying the address to the clipboard, then double click on the _cb2ytdl batch file. It will automatically download the best version available.It worked with both urls you gave. If you want a different version you'll have to learn the different command line options.

Hi.

I tried youtube-dl after some time now. However, its either not downloading videos 0r I can't seem to locate where it downloaded (I looked in downloads folder).

I downloaded the latest version of program, then downloaded the clipboard.exe from here https://steve.fi/Software/clipboard/
Then downloaded the batch file _cb2ytdl.bat from here

I put all 3 in same folder. Then copied url of video and clicked the batch file _cb2ytdl.bat.

Can you please guide me if its the right way and did it download the video?

Post a link to the video you are trying to download. You might need to include username and password options in youtube-dl.

The videos are all age consent ones, where when trying to open, it first asks if you are an adult and when you click yes, then it shows the video. I don't know if that is a username / password scenario you referred to.

I also dont know where to input the username / pw in the youtube dl.

I have found a GUI version of it also but it doesn't seem to work, its very recent.

I refuse to sign up for a google account so I can't see those videos. But the command line with authentication would look like:

youtube-dl --username USERNAME --password PASSWORD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3hbfl4AWI8

Update : The app stops midway for most files.

I was able to download a one minute ten second video with youtube-dl.

Maybe it downloads for me also? Actually I can't seem to find where it downloads the video, if it does. I have checked both the Downloads folder, and My Documents.

Where is the download location setting in Youtube-dl?

The downloaded video should be in the same folder as youtube-dl. The name was "Beach Thong _ Party Girls In The Bahamas -Y3hbfl4AWI8.mkv"

I think you need to have ffmpeg.exe in that folder too.

I am referring to a playlist download. Just want to stick with the original titles. It would be tedious to specify names of all downloads. Just that I want to omit the extra string appended by the app. Regards.
