You need to install at least the driver from the software that comes with the device.
So i bought a similar converter like this
https://www.amazon.com/VHS-DVD-Video-Capture-Converter/dp/B06X1F9MY9/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF...onverter&psc=1
because i want to see my vhs-videos on my laptop, i installed it, but it says device can not be detected, the software was like trash.
Then i connected the red, yellow and white plug to my vidorecorder, but nothing happened.
How can this cable even detect the VHS Player?
You need to install at least the driver from the software that comes with the device.
When i had the Cd Rom open, it showed me just "INSTALL", and i installed it, there was no INSTALL DRIVER on it.
What operating system are you using?
Windows 8.1
If the manufacturer has a website you may find a more recent driver there. Or do a Google search.
Does the device show up in Device Manager? Is it "unkown" or has it been properly identified and the driver installed?
yes the driver is installed. maybe it is because i connected it with this? https://www.amazon.com/CableWholesale-3-Feet-Stereo-Plated-10R3-01103/dp/B000I1DN32/re...=3+cinch+cable
maybe it can not detect it, shall i connect it to scart?
The cable shouldn't be a problem.
i bought another usb converter and now my vhs player is detected
