JVC GR-FX17 compact VHS camcorder on screen displays

Hi everyone,

I have the camcorder in the description above which is quite an old analogue camcorder and i am trying to record footage onto my computer but the tape length timer display stays displayed on the screen and records with the footage. i have read the manual and did what it said and should have turned all on screen displays off but it just not do it and that stays on the screen.

Any help would be great.

System/OSD Output = Off?

If you set this and you're still getting display, either it's recorded on the tape or your camera is faulty.
