  1. Hello every1,

I have a divx source. 23,976fps. I converted it mpg2 (m2v) stream with the same framerate, I then ran pulldown (to 25fps).

The result is that the video part is *much* longer than the audio track and it causes totally out of sync!

Any1 can help me out? any suggestion?, i've searched for help about this matter withou luck!

Be nice please ... im newbie

    Have a nice day!

You have to stretch the audio using CoolEdit or Goldwave or other sound program.

Find out how long the video file is and then stretch your audio to fit that length Exactly!

    Then remux...

  3. Thanks for the tips.
To clear why i'd like to do this .... my first attempt was to convert to
352x480/23,976fps, then pulldown it to 29,97. The whole thing was *perfect* .. but when i tried to add subtitle (which was perfectly sync with
framerate 25fps) the sustitle begins (at about 1/2 of the film) to loose sync
even if I convert it to 23,xx or 29,xx (they were worst actually).

    Thanks again!

BTW ... I'd like to convert divx video at 23,976 to mpg2 25fps. Why is the
converted clip not running smooth? it's like it "stops" for every second!
Im using virtualdub then frameserver to CCE. Do you know how to avoid this? thanks

That's because CCE is just adding a duplicate frame one a second to make up for that 1.1 fps diffrence between 23.976 and 25 ( it has to come from somewhere ).

In VDub if you select video/frame rate/source frame rate control/Change frame rate to = 25 it should spped up the 23.976 to 25 and thereby eleimate the pause, but your audio may now be off ( again? ).

    Cheers.

  5. Thanks snowmoon

Well .. im getting tired of this "imcompatiple framerate". You get this then you loose other!

If I use Cannopus Procoder ... everything is *perfect* and I mean every
thing .. picture/sound and subtitle (I use Maestro to make DVD at 352x576) The thing is that ... Procoder encodes about 9->14 fps and I have a 2,56GHZ .. . I tried it on a P3-800mhz and it encoded 3-4 fps!!!!!

I'll try to find other solution. Thanks guys Im really appreciated for your helps. Have a nice weekend!
