UNSPECIFIED ERROR

I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM>..its been months and still i am tryuing to figure it out. I just got Nimo codec package before i had some other device as a divx codec.

I have about 100 movies on cdr as data files.
When i play the movie from the cdr it plays for couple of secs or souple of mins and says UNSPECFIED ERROR?? and i ruuuun it several times and finally when i get it to play..it plays for 10 mins and stops. and says the same thing. OR it just freezes.

Some of my movies that are cdr wont go back to my hard drive becasue of the read only property on it. HOW DO I REMOVE IT>>?? I have tried the obvious..left clcking propertites and tried to remove it manually..it says cannot change file. I have even tries certain commands but i really dont know what i am supposed to be doing..

I thought Nimo was the best codec package..why did not fix my prob??
I have a phillips cd writer+Nimo codec package
If someone with experience could help that would be awesome.
