  2. what res is it?? the blockiness is caused by bitrate and noise, are u using anti-noise filters. btw, vcd is only one bitrate and that is 1150, if u wanna make an XVCD with a 1750 bitrate try that.

no i meant like nero converts the MPEG files to resolution of 350 x 350 or something like that. But the files ive recorded are somewhat 352 x 240 and when ive put them onto disc with nero VCD creater they are blur i want them to be crystal clear like a VHS but not as clear as a DVD. Can anybody help? Thanx for the reply.

  4. VCD: 352x240 (NTSC) and 352x288 (PAL)

Use VCDImager + Fireburn, NOT NERO.

  5. Ok, 352x240 is the NTSC standard for a VCD. The standard bitrate is 1150kbit/s encoded with CBR. Do anything to change this and it becomes an xVCD.

The best resolution to ENOCDE in is ?x480 (eg. 352x480, 480x480, 704x480 or 720x480) for VCD I would just use 352x480.

I would CAPTURE in the highest resolution you can without dropped frames or filling your HD. I normally use 640x480 or 480x480. The higher the quaility of your source the better, even thou you'll be 'stepping down' to 352x240 or 352x480.
