need to cut chapters from mp4 videos

hi
i recorded some clips from tv
and i need to cut chapters
and encode it to smaller file
when recording with the capture box its being saved at disk-on-key drive on seperated files each 2gb and duration 20 min of each file
i need good software to cut chapters and save only desired parts of videos at same quality
with which software can i do it ?
and than i need to convert it to smaller file without losing too much of quality
for that i used avs video converter but its VERY slow
takes about 2-4 hours to convert 30 min video
any helpful replays will be highly appreciated

Try edit and convert at same time.

You can use vidcoder (latest beta) to so do some basic cutting(set the time range, no preview) and shrinking.

Or use Avidemux, set start and stop, set video codec h264/avc and the bitrate and save. But avidemux will probably crash...
