Thanks sum_guy for your report about Win10. Are you using the native Ein10 codecs or LAV Filters?

I am using LAV Filters. I'm running Windows 10 32 bit home edition. AVS is awesome. Thank you!
It's not important the problem be solved, only that the blame for the mistake is assigned correctly -
Thanks this thread on the Win10 compatibility. I still upgrade Win7, so I can not have too help.BTW still be resolved before the investigation in MS DirectShow filter.

I can try that, but this afternoon, before coming to this forum, I tried ONE other thing-
I went into the computer's "Program Files" folder, and in the AVStoDVD sub-folder, right clicked on "AVStoDVD.exe", and went into "Properties". There, I went into "Compatibility", and changed it to run the program as if it was running in Windows 7.
The machine was then set up to create yet another version of the 3 hour .iso file.
It just finished. I played the .iso file thru VLC Media Player, which I've done with all the others.
The audio is PERFECTLY in sync with the video.
I'll post the log here in a few minutes, once I'm on that computer. (Using a different one right now.)
It appears that as long as the program is being handled the way Windows 7 would have, there's no problem at all.
I went back and checked the last run that was "almost right", and looked at it very carefully. I can still see the problem. Looking at today's .iso, there IS no problem.
It'd be interesting to install AVStoDVD in another Windows 10 computer, NOT change the codecs, but set the Compatibility for Windows 7, and see if that also works. (No, I can't do it. Only have one computer running Windows 10 right now, and that's going to be the case for at least 6 months...until Microsoft irons out some bugs.)
I'll end now, and then in a few minutes go to the other computer and post the log as an edit here.

I used the "FFMpegSource" method you suggested, but with the "Compatibility" settings switched back to NOT be in Windows 7 mode.
It once more took a good while for the new .iso to be created (3 hour video), but once it was made the .iso played with the audio and video in sync; your method works too.
The only problem is the next time I opened AVStoDVD, it had defaulted back to "A2D" mode, and would have to be manually set for "FFMpegSource".
Is there a way to make it stay set for "FFMpegSource", or will it need to be reset with each new project?
If you'd like to see the log file of the "FFMpegSource" method, please let me know.
I do have one other question-
The current AVStoDVD seems to not remember I want to see the "Advanced Project Settings". Even if I set it to display them, the next time the program is opened, they don't appear, and the Advanced settings need to be chosen again. Previous versions of AVStoDVD always remembered. Once that display setting was chosen, it stayed in place. Any suggestions?
Thank you VERY much for all your help. -
Thanks gastrof for the reports about your attempts with Win10.
To have FFMpegSource always on, just click on 'Save current preferences as default' before exiting from 'Preferences' section.
To keep Advanced Settings always active, see 'Preferences' -> 'Misc'
Remember to take a look also at the help section, before posting here. You may save a lot of time.
Bye
