    since i switched to windows 8 multiAVCHD wont work properly for me.
    i make bluray disks from avi files and it does all the authoring fine but when it gets to the section where its making thumbnails for each video the programs just comes to halt and wont proceed any further,any idea how i fix this?

    It may be an AviSynth problem. Try uninstalling AviSynth and then reinstalling it.
