We are all born naked and screaming. Who's to say that screaming isn't baby-talk for swearing? Get a life.

I'd rather see boobs and hear creative language,
as opposed to viewing garbage like American Sniper, or some other violence orgy.
I've always like Pamela Anderson on this. Tits are natural, guns are not.
If this is for a child, then stick to cartoons.
FYI: I prefer toons myself.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Online no.
In print, yes. But only for nudity. And even that will not be up to date . -
Ignore the trolls. Common Sense Media is pretty close to what you are looking for, and have both movie and TV reviews - https://www.commonsensemedia.org/movie-reviews

Kids-in-Mind has detailed descriptions of the "Sex & Nudity", "Violence & Gore" and "Profanity" in many movies:

It's useful to determine if the nudity and profanity are pervasive and creative enough to make viewing worthwhile. They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety.

When I was a young man, the Sunday school girls were the easiest to get bizzy with. I guess their parents sheltered them too much.

does your tv not have the V CHIP?? - http://www.fcc.gov/guides/v-chip-putting-restrictions-what-your-children-watch

This kind of puritanism and censorship makes me sick. You peolple won't mind if movies contain scenes of extreme violence like chopping heads and blood spilling (that's OK for children to see), but if some woman shows a little bit of her breast, that's a catastrophy, totaly unacceptable.
A piece of art, in whatever form, is supposed to be appreciated the way its author intended it to be. If that's too much for you, don't look at it!"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." -

You know I've been looking for a list like that myself, I thought that I was the only one that thought that this kind of content only served to enhance a movie.
Word to the wise, get yourself a pass to any of the adult sites, best collection of foul language and nudity you will find anywhere.
I can tell you, if I was a director of a major movie within the first 30 seconds of starting the movie would feature someone dropping the "F" bomb and 30 seconds later there would be gratuitous full penetration, there would be a graphic shower and defecation scene half way through the movie that had nothing to do with the story, just to mess with the audiences minds and the movie would end in a very dramatic way, I assume you know what a Heart Wipe is, well my movie would end with a sphincter wipe, which is exactly what it sounds like.
You don't know how glad I am to find another person on this forum that likes his movies filthy, dirty, and offensive.
I'm with you buddy, that's the only way to watch a movie, I really hate those "TV edit" style of garbage, it's all trash, replacing the F word with "friend" and all that nonsense.
Good for you standing up to those close-minded snooty prudes. -
This is a site for video makers, and those people are generally artists or creators. To come in here and start talking about how to block out content is offensive to us. If you want to learn to cut scenes, that's fine. But when you start making morality comments, that's not going to fly here.
Keep you posts generic. Not necessary for you to expound on your reasons for editing a video. Keep your propaganda to yourself.
P.S. And we're not interested that you're making a church video either. If you want all the help possible, leave those comments out. You just alienate all the best purveyors of information.Last edited by budwzr; 12th Feb 2015 at 12:06.

Come on folks, people have differences of opinion, nothing wrong with that.
But why resort to personal attacks?
-
The original post has othing to do with editing video. It only asks for a list of videos curated by Jerry Falwell.
-
Yes, we all have personal opinions and we should all be able to freely express those opinions.

Oh, I see this thread is in "General Discussions". I thought it was in "Editing". Hahaha.

Pull! Bang! Darn!

I disagree. Read it again:
That strongly suggests editing.
I've edited movies myself, though very rarely. One movie that comes to mind is the first Transformers Bay movie -- and the scene didn't even have nudity or profanity. It was that stupid "masturbation discussion" scene. At the time, it really was not appropriate for our younger viewer. So lists of boobs and saying '****' would have done no good here.
Most movies/shows that need editing aren't worth watching to begin with.
Again, watch cartoons. I do. Smurfs anyone?Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

for Hollywood nudity=sex, it is perfected to the point of perversion or cliches, non plus ultra, .... , I remember seeing lots of movies in Europe having it all on screen, but pictured it in happy or positive or funny way, that it could be seen by anybody without any negative effect .... Hollywood makes everything so serious that it gets ridiculous ...

In my opinion, movies and series (or any other art form for that matter) must be exhibited without any kind of editing or modification whatsoever. If the entity responsible for the exhibit feels the piece is unappropriate for the audience then it can choose no to show it. But if it chooses to show it, then it must show it ALL. Nobody has the right to cripple the author's creation.
In some TV shows, it's frequent to hear a lot of bips to dissimulate "strong" language. I think this is ridiculous! Once again, if the TV network feels the show contains language not suitable for young teenagers, then don't run it! The same applies to parents.
If people start censoring what they think shouldn't be seen, then they have to go all the way. Why not disallow children into art museums because classic paintings and sculptures are full of nudity and indecency or maybe use a pair of scissors to "edit" those parts of paintings that are offensive. You get the picture...
This painting of Michelangelo is a definite no-no
This version is so much better
