I managed to get ahold of it, but does it really need to be run under W2K or will it run under XP or 98SE?

  2. Works fine under XP for me. I just had to run the installer in NT4 compatibility mode.

will not work in 98se .. nt4 or win2k yes ... xp i cant use so dont know but dont see why it should not except i dont know if the cinemaster drivers work in XP -- though all that would mean is that you would have no preview in realtime..

As far as XP goes is it better to get home or pro edition? Either way I can get the full version for about $99 with a student discount. ONly reason I'm even thinking about using XP or W2K. May have to really give it a whirl since I've always heard that W2K is pretty crash proof and won't give all the headaches from regular Windows. My biggest concern has always been multmedia support, but know that have Scenarist and Maestro I don't have a choice.
