creative 12x drive problems....

ok... when i play any dvd whether i am using a software dvd player (power dvd and win dvd i have tried) or if i use my dxr3 (ive tried creatives drivers/app and hollywood plus drivers/app), the movie will skip every once in a while... also DMA IS enabled...

abit kt7a-raid (via4-in-1 v4.32 and latest official bios)
SB live! 5.1 soundcard
creative 12x dvd drive
dxr3 (same problem whether its installed or not though)
win98se and win2k duel boot... happens to both OSs.

the dvd drive is primary master with no slave attached... and my hardrives are on the raid controller.

also i cannot benchmark the drive with sisoft sandra... it gives me a "read error", but if i use smartripper i can rip at up to 5.x speeds.

if anyone has any idea on what is causeing this problem PLEASE help... i have been fightin this for months now.

ok, nevermind, problem is solved i think... i downloaded the via bus master drivers seprate from the 4 in 1 drivers and it installed different drivers than what is included in the 4 in 1... this seems to be working for me now.
