    is there a way to get rid of the blockiness i get in avi files. Most of the time its in the background.

    thats just a poorly encoded divx movie.

    if people try to stretch a movie with lots of movement/action into a 1cd divx, things start looking bad.

    theres nothing you can really do..but hope that the movie you download is encoded correctly.

    try to encode in CQ mode at about 80. usually works for me. 8)
