  1. Hi
I used to get my DVD-r at CDRecordable.com, but someone said they no longer sell the ones I used to get. I bought a 100 of them for 125.00. And I never had a probelm with one of them.

Where can I get some good low priced DVd-rs? I have a pioneer AO-3

    Thank you

  4. you mean i can burn and see the movies on a compatible DVD home player ?

...i mean, i really have to buy a bunch of them and i don't want to end up burning stuff i can view from my comp only.
what i gathered in other forums are good comments on a few DVD-RW discs; should i buy them instead of DVD-Rs ?

...they say only apple and maxell DVD-Rs work fine on DVD home players, but i refuse to pay 5$ a piece of it !!!

    please help me out with your experience on this;
    thx a lot,
    a.

  6. I bought 50 Bulkpaq and they are good as long as the movie is less than 4.00gb otherwise they turn very blocky at the end of the movie,

    Try

    http://www.wcwmedia.com/

The SUPERIOR DVD-R 2x Gen 4 write at 2x on a pioneers a03/a04 and i've wrote over 50 with no failures, all play well in my Toshiba set top player and only £1.05 each

  7. Aya,

I would buy a couple of pieces of different kinds of media and see what works well in your DVD player. Once you find an inexpensive brand that works well, BUY A LOT There is a chance that the next time you try to buy the same kind of generic media, it will be different.

  8. If you live in the UK

www.121cdr.co.uk also known as SVP/blank disc shop, loads of choice from 38p upto a couple of pounds, ranging from bulkpaq to most generation 3 disks, ive tried 4 different brands from there, all with success

  9. Yeah..I found SVP/Blankdiscshop very good.. Ive tried various makes.

Bulkpaq... Not too keen on these. Worked on my PC but not many other DVD players.

I use FWS and Datasafe Generation 3. Both only 75p each and work on my PC, my standalone Afreey and PS2 !

  10. Cheap DVD-R's and universal compatability is a contradiction in terms. I have experimented a lot and if you want the disk to work in most players, you're going to have to spend more than $1. I've had good luck with TDK and don't consider them too expensive at $2.16 from PCStop.com (shipping was a little pricey however)
