i am really getting tired of waiting 6-8 hours for a 1 disc conversion in TMEG ENCODE. i am using cladDVDXP which rips dvd file and frameserves to "DVD2AV" at the same time, that only takes 30 mins max for a 2 HOUR DVD.but when it comes to converting av 2 mpeg waiting time is ludicrous. Are there any faster encoders/frameservers out there that can help, quality isn't that much of an issue,if it was i would just buy a dvd!! please HELP!!!

  2. PAUL i suggest try Xing Mpeg Encoder or LSX Mpeg Encoder both very fast but doesnt give the quality like TMPGEnc...also try Cinema Craft Encoder same thing goes bad quality when encodeing to mpeg 1 but when it encodes Mpeg2 its great

    evening all,

    paul26, cheers to you too...

    Anyways, here's a freebee. . .
Under DVD2AVI, do the following to lower your COMPLETE process
    time:
    * make changes here: Audio/48->44.1Khz/ and check [x]Off

this will increase your DVD2AVI to a *.d2v file in less then 10min. unless
you already have ben doing this. Usually takes an hour for a full DVD
rip w/out the above, as most people like to convert 48->44.1Khz but w/
different params, ie low, mid, high, ultrahigh, etc. By turning this to
    OFF, you gain tremendous speed!

Not many faulks know this speed tip, as they're too caught up in the convertion
    process.

Well, hope this tip works out for ya!
    Good luck.

  5. CCE may not be a free program, but I'm sure you can fine a free trial version using Kazaa I suggest version 2.5 since it's considered the fastest and most compatible of them. CCE will cut down your MPEG2 encoding by 4 times or more over TMPG.

    LeeBear,
This might be off topic and since I'm not a moderator here it may be none of my business, but posting information on how to obtain warez is a clear violation of forum rules. At best it might get your post deleleted and at worst get you banned. I'm not preaching, but I thought I might give you a heads up on that.
