Issues with image attachments

Sometimes my images just show up as "Attachment xxxxx" in the post even though they appear as thumbnails like I have set them to be in the WYSIWYG editor.

I thougt I had fixed that....but apparently not. Checking again.

They are at least orange now so you can see that they are links....

Any chance this can be made to work again 100%? It's strange, Attached Thumbnails always show the images but the inline image attachments still show up as links when I hit Go Advanced and the behaviour when Editing doesn't seem consistent. Works sometimes but not always..?

For the time being, you might just edit your problematic posts,

I have one reproducible sequence where this happens every time:

Type in a message in the Quick Reply box at the bottom of a thread. Insert an image via the Insert Image icon. Press Go Advanced. Press Submit Reply. The image will show up as an attachment, not a thumbnail.

Yep. Or if you try quick edit,upload image and go advanced like this.

The bug is that the attachment disappears from the attachment list when you use the go advanced.

Now should it work better to upload images from quick reply/edit and then go to advanced mode.

Please test post in the test forum and try everything.



Now should the work in most browsers. Not safari.

I'm experiencing a different issue now. For JPEGs, my uploads seem to just show ATTACH BBCode tags in both Quick Reply and Advanced rather than the WYSIWYG display where I could choose to show a thumbnail. PNGs function as before.

(Can the BBCode be edited to change it to thumb mode?)

When I select a bunch of images that are alphabetically and/or numerically sorted, they all become a jumble as soon as the upload process starts. Any chance of getting that fixed?

You have to wait until I update vbulletin....
