I have a Universal Remote and a 58 inch Samsung plasma TV which I purchased new in 2009. I just had the main board replaced to eliminate purple/pink bands which were appearing on the screen whenever there was a light background. After the technician left I noticed that whenever I turn off the TV and Uverse cable box after about 10 seconds the TV turns back on. I then have to go into the Universal Remote menu and turn off the TV separately. This was never a problem before. The Universal Remote works on an RF system and is programmed to run my TV, receiver, blu ray player, turntable, music speakers, home theater speakers, patio speaker, and Ipod. The remote appears to be running everything else ok. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of problem? I'm wondering whether the new main board is not synced with my Universal Remote and whether the Universal Remote needs to be reprogrammed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Likely not a remote issue. Odd that the remote would just randomly start sending a power on signal AFTER the TV just had work done.
I'd suspect an issue with the TV. Either configuration related, or a hardware issue. Contact the service company/technician and explain the problem to them.Google is your Friend
