  1. I used bdsup2sub to convert subtitles to idx/sub--and they keep coming out in an ugly pink color--i want them to be yellow or white. I don't put them on a background color just the subs themselves...TIA

  4. ok thanx that helped--only thing is I don't have an ifo file. My source is not dvd it's a mkv file from the internet. I remember seeing something that could generate an ifo along with the subs but I can't remember what it was As you can see I'm a newbie to this.

You will have to edit the idx file(s). In a plain-text editor, find the line similar to the example below:

    Code:
    palette: dcff17, 12a7d7, e0e0e0, 12a7d7, 000000, dcff17, 12a7d7, 00c0ff, 000000, ffff00, 067506, eaeaea, 095f78, 750975, 7c950b, ffffff
In this case, the hex-code for YELLOW subs is in the 10th field, BUT Y.M.M.V.

YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary.

In this case, it means you may need to edit one field at a time,
until you find which one determines the color of the text

Did I say anything about an IFO? VobSub Configure changes the colors all by itself. It changes that color line in the IDX El Heggunte mentioned, but without you having to look up the hex name for the color. You'll have colors themselves from which to choose. Open your IDX, check the 'Custom'Colors' box, click on your pink sub, and change it to whatever you like from all the colors of the rainbow. If the first choices offered aren't enough, hit the 'Define Custom Colors' bar.
