youtube m3u8 files ffmpeg doesn't work

I get a HTTP error 403 Forbidden
Unable to open key file
Error when loading first segment
Invalid data found when processing unit

All links work in my browser.

Any idea what this is and any workarounds to this?
I've read on other threads that youtube had a 403 error with realplayer downloading. And this seemed to work at some point, but it's not working for me now.

That's weird. It should work in your browser. But you would think they would say you are not in an available locale rather than just slap you with a 403 error if it was that. I think it might have something to do with cookies. But i don't know how to use cookies with ffmpeg yet. Did you have cookies enabled when you viewed it?

On further investigation it seems the url that i'm getting the 403 error is a key for encryption

You have to paste it in url to get 403. If you click on link you get some funny characters.

But i can view the video through my browser. I also tried using cookies with ffmpeg but not luck. Is there a way to get past this?

Tried hls-fetch, and it didn't work. Tried it on a stream that works with ffmpeg. Doesn't even work. And aes-cbc in openssl gives an error with hls-fetch. Tried to decrypt with other modes, but i don't know if it worked because hls-fetch doesn't join the files properly to find out. So it just plain does not work.
