  1. I'm still pretty new to authoring but i THOUGHT i had a decent grasp on it. the situation is thus:
i authored a vcd (VCD 2.0 to be precise) in TSCV with menus, chapters and all that pretty stuff. The disc worked beutifully in my panasonic DVD player (can't remember the model #, sorry, i'm at work). Gave my freinds some copies and they had varying degrees of dificulty w/ it.
one guy's DVD player would display the main menu all scrambled up (like the resolution was off) but the movie itself played wonderfully. Another was watching the movie and the disc just died in the middle of it and would't play anymore. Other's just said it wouldn't play period on their DVD players (i assume this is b/c their machines aren't VCD compliant)

So the menu thing seems to be my main problem, but as i said it works flawlessly on my DVD player. could this problem have something to do with the fact that i burned a VCD 2.0 disc??

any help, suggestions or question on the specifics welcomed.

    thnx

  2. TSCV made still menus are not compliant (the last time I looked, they still required using TMPGEnc + a hex edit hack).

The newest version of VCDEasy is highly recommended or you could use VCD Toolkit 1.0 to make your stills.

The other problems sound possibly like media compatibility issues.

    Regards.
