    That's the issue for many folks -- video was just a temporary project for them. Some of us have been here continuously because it's related to professional work or is a long-term hobby.

    Of course, even that gets trumped by family, health, and other reasons.

    Gshelley and BJ_M have been MIA for a while. We had good restoration banter 7-8 years ago.

    Even though I never got around to converting a bunch of vhs to dvd but I now have a bunch of good svhs players so I can get decent picture quality.

    I am now involved even more with h264 for my tablet and downloading more off the net for said tablet.

    I know I'll never know everything there is to know about video and digital video but I like learning and I try to keep up with the latest.

    Xbmc has givin some life to backing up discs for me. That thing is just slick. Ill get into it more when I figure out my htpc situation a lil better :/
