Those of you who've been around VideoHelp.com know that once in a while TGPO sends out a casting call for us to ply our "skill" as wannabe actors. As some of you know, I dabble in 3D Animation and I write a little bit, and I want to try to do it today as well.
So I wrote a little animation based on a role playing game (Dungeons and Dragons). The problem is I need some voices to help me complete the animation. So I was hoping you would give me a hand and voice some characters for me as well.

If you haven't gone on to the next post, here's what I need:
    Three male voices
    Two female voices

The script is already written the the animation should run around five minutes or so. You simply record your parts, upload them as an
audio file, and I download them and match them to your characters. When all is compete we'll have a little fun watching it and patting each other on the back about what great actors you all are.

This is a labor of love, and I can't pay anyone but I hope you'll help me. If you're interested, or have any questions just respond here.
    Hello.

What the heck, I'm in. One male voice at your service.

What the heck... put me in, too. I've done plenty of voice 'work' but very little voice 'acting' ... could be fun.

Have you found volunteers for the rest of the cast yet? I don't have any suggestions if you haven't, I was just wondering.

Yes, BigAss did all three male voices and said I can choose whichever one I want to use. It was a hard choice, but his interpretation of Alex made my blood run cold, so I'm going to use that. I would really appreciate it if you could do either Matt of Fracas, and I will do whichever one is left.

I've started doing the first of the two scenes, so let me know when I may expect your file.

Well, if it isn't the Jedi Master himself! Yes, my two volunteers have their scripts and I advise them to send me their files whichever is easiest for them.

Oh I guess the final production is a ways off then. Whenever you have a trailer ready please post it so we can offer support and praise

Umm, that was me that recorded all three male voices. (Of course, BigAss may have done that too, but I got your acknowledgement of receiving all three.)

Ooooops! I received your email and a message from BigAss at the same time. Should have known a guru would come through for me first! I already started synching the voices to the characters, and hope to have some scenes up ready to look at soon.

So you think I should start another blog wuth updated status, or do you want status updates here?

    STATUS:
I completed the sync of Fracas and 75% of Matt. Once I complete Matt's I will render some preliminary video of Gadget Guy's interpretations and post them sometime this week. I just hope his work will inspire our other memnbers here to contribute. If anyone is still interested, I still need two male and two female voices.

Just as a note, I would help, but my good mic is missing.
The one I have now is a tiny "ear bud" POS that sounds like a 1990s cell phone.

It might be fun to do a female voice -- augmented through software, of course.

I was actually pretty good at doing voices about 10-15 years ago. I don't know what happened.
I could do a really good Yoda! But it's faded now, and has been for at least 3-4 years.

That's too bad. I saw your name at the top of this post and thought I scored a major coup. I remember writing little stories about you back in the day. Hope you can at least borrow one just long enough to do this for us.

Well, think about what you may want me to do.
And I'll dig around my big box of spare computer crap, and see what's available.

Oopsy....looks like I'm a little behind here. I just sent in an Alex read.
If there's something still to be done -- lemme know....or use the Alex....either way, I'm cool. Sorry it took so long. Been anchoring the morning news lately and as a result, feeling barely/Beryl-y awake most of the time.

    STATUS:

Completed two test renders and uploaded to You Tube.

Gadgetguy's voice is deeper and more assertive than Fraca's because I experimented with Morph Vox, as a half elf is decades old, but often looks and sound like a teen ager at his age.

Gadgetguy's untouched voice is Matt's in this video.

Ahoy... sent you some voice files a week or so ago, but I might've been too late. Haven't heard back
In any case, here they are. I'm going to be out of commission for a bit, so if you'd like a different character read or anything further, it may be another week or two. Best of luck in the further production! Cheers!

There are two scenes in our little mini drama, as your voice actors have
probably told you. I have completed several shots of scene one, about ten percent of the first scene. It's going faster than I thought it would, and I like the results so far. Will continue to keep you posted!!!

I am so sorry (again!). I see now why Hollywood have companies who specialize in titles. Anyway, I reloaded the video with your correct name.

By the way, thanks for the compliment!
