I am just wondering, i was told you could but that your motherboard must have enough ide ports. my motherboard supports 4 ide. i have a cdrw and a dvdrom plus 2 hardrives already. is there a such thing as a splitter or anything like that? thanks for any info you could give me.

no there isnt anything as a IDE splitter. when someone told you that you can install 3 hard drives, they are technically correct, as long as you dont have cdroms or dvdroms on those ide chains as well.
for your case seeing that you have already filled the ide ports, you will need to purchase a IDE card that plugs into either a pci or isa slot.
