  1. Hi,
I am subscribed to watch some pay channels on internet from my home country and format is flash 0.1.14.

    Two questions:
    1. Any idea how to record it on hard drive and what software tu use for it?

    2. Is there any hardware device that i can use (like set top box or apple tv or something else) to connect to internet and with device help see streaming flash on tv?

    thanks!

  2. You could try the commercial softwares especially GetFLV free alternatives include the excellent RTMPdumpHelper. It also depend on whether it's encrypted or not, RTMPE can be downloaded but Adobe HDS with flash access DRM cannot afaik. Bear in mind also that the provider can monitor traffic from your account and if it notices anything unusual i.e. high bandwidth/traffic due to downloading via such software they may suspend/ban your account (it's happened to me).

The alternative is to watch in realtime using some kind of netstreaming box and record the video output with some kind of video capture device i.e. my PS3 and my HD-PVR which will circumvent the above problem but captured video quality may possibly be inferior to the original flash vid. PC's can use screen recorder software. HTH.

  4. RtmpDumpHelper also needs RtmpDump, RtmpSuck and RtmpSrv downloaded and added to the same folder (should all come together). Then just fire up RDH and open the vid in the browser. RtmpDump should start downloading whatevers onscreen. If it fails try changing the default option RTMPSUCK to RTMPSRV it's in the options somewhere or other.
