My dvr plays a videostream on port 54000, which i can only view by an activex. Does it exist a sw capable of "hooking up" to an already playing videostream, identify it (should be mjpg) and play it?

Replay Video Capture can probably record it while it plays, but it's not freeware. DVRs encrypt what they record so you will probably have no choice to but to use a screen capture program to record the video. Also, it is possible with the right video capture card (ie. Hauppauge Colossus, Hauppauge HD PVR, etc.) to send the video output via component video and audio via optical from the DVR to a capture card and record it while the DVR plays it. I have to use that method to get files I want to keep off my AT&T DVR here in the USA.
