I cannot find a guide where I can rip a DVD to DVD with the support of subtitles.
(ah..yes...Maestro can be used, but there is no demo available)

Check out the guides at doom9.org. They have some stuff on dvd's with subtitles.

I did, and the only guide on Doom9 with subtitles, uses Maestro.

The guide also explains that Maestro is not available anymore, so this is not an option for me............

If your ripped movie is less than 4,700,000,000 bytes, then you can use IFOEdit and strip out the subpicture (subtitles) streams that you don't want and the extras that you don't want.

If not, then the only DVD authoring packages (that I'm aware of) that support subtitles is Scenarist and Maestro.

keeping substreams is not a difficult task, even multiple ones. the issue you are having would be finding an authroing application that will allow you to use them. scenarist is world class, and for dvd copying it's not hard to use. you're probably trying to make copies of a theatrical released movie, so if that is the case you're probably fairly familiar with the pirate scene, or at least know what it is. that being said you should also know what to do to find the software that you want. i suggest you find a copy of scenarist and then learn how to use it. i have tons of back ups and everyone of them has at least 1 subpicture stream.

  7. i agree with buckonine. scenarist is the way to go and there's a guide on doom9 called ifoedit & cce guide and that should tell you how to do it using scenarist.

  9. xzarkad, check your pm.

My method DVD to DVDR is(more then 4.5GB):

    Rip.

Flask with LSX-plugin 2.0-Video 5000~3000 VBR, Audio -*.ac3 direct copy.

    Get Chapter and sub.

Use Maestro to put all togehter, make image and burn.

  10. Are you re-encoding your video or doing a straight rip? Or just ripping the movie?
