  1. Hey all,

I am stumped on how to play movies off my computer to my TV... I know it sounds simple but this is my setup...

I have a tower running Win Server 2008 which I use as my media/storage center.

I have it connected to a wireless router and then I have a samsung 8 series TV that I have connected via Ethernet

I have no clue on how I get the 2 to communicate so that my TV can "browse" my media and then play it?

    Any help is much appreciated!

  2. I don't think that TV can browse Windows network shares. It appears to have a DLNA client so you may be able to use a DLNA server on your PC.

Or, you can buy something like a WDTV Live+ (or whatever model...this one's been very good for me for last few years) or other streaming media player.

Though, I'd highly recommend wired over wireless for anything more than DVD, end even then...
    Have a good one,
