    Newbie here,

    first off - Love VLC, thanks to everyone invovled and this forum.
    Took a while to figure out how to send and receive Webcam streams, but finally made it.

    Question: Can the stream settings ( webcam info, display size, IP and port, compression etc) be saved? Seems like I have to re-enter these each time

    You could copy the "Generated stream output string" in the last step in the VLC File->Stream wizard and save it. Next time you skip forward to the last step in the stream wizard and paste the string.
