Reading the manual of my BR disc player, I came across the following:

"You can use a Blu-Ray disc that supports BD-LIVE to download content provided by the disc manufacturer trough a network connection."

Can somebody explain to me what this is?

Which BR discs supports BD-LIVE (name?/title?/marks?)?
What can I download with BD-LIVE?

    TIA

I have never used it. If I want games, chats and stuff I use a web browser...

I think I've used bd live on xmen first class. It had some bonus videos on its website through the bluray itself. I guess technically speaking that is bdlive since it went online to download it.

FYI I use a ps3 as my bluray player.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I've never used BD-Live because my Momitsu region free BD player has a bug and it can't connect to the internet. I owned it for over a year before I ever even tried to use BD-Live and then it was too late to return it. Plus the only firmware update they ever released took away region free capability By the way I work in IT for a living and I can assure you all that there was no way to get this machine connected to any network, not even by manually inputing an IP address for it to use. I just gave on BD-Live as a result.

I will buy the BR Xmen and give it a try.

But basically, from the answers I have got, it is nothing earthquakeprovoking or being overwhelmed with.

    Thanks

Please only do so if you like the movie. The "extras" aren't a reason to just buy a certain movie.

Xmen First Class is a good movie though.

Had the same problem with my Panasonic one until I realized that it needed a USB data stick plugged in to work. There wasn't any BD Live storage out of the box.

From the BR player manual (Samsung BD5500):

BD Live enables you to manage downloaded contents you accessed trough a Blu-Ray disc that supports the BD-Live service and stored on a Flash-Drive.

You can check the device's information including the storage size, delete the BD data or change the Flash memory device.

ONLY USE USB DEVICES FORMATTED IN FAT FILE SYSTEM (DOS 8.3 Volume label) ARE SUPPORTED!!!

We recommend you use USB devices that support USB 2.0 protocol with 4MB/Sec or faster Read/Write speed.
