Hi there
Im a newbie and having just got myself a PS3 recently ive decided there is about 50 or so titles that are must owns on Blu Ray.
I have a LG LCD HD tv which is about 4 years old, it doesnt have a LAN output but does have HDMI cable access and USB ports etc. So my question relates to how should i go about this?
Method 1: Buy a blu ray burner and a stack of blank discs and burn the blu ray movies to disc, I have no idea of costs involved with buying a burner and the blank media and if the actual discs will play on a PS3 either, perhaps someone can assist there too?
Method 2: Purchase a Media Player/Centre or External Hard drive and find a way to get the blu ray movies onto that and then connect that device somehow to my PS3 or TV to play the movies. Again im not sure how to go about this and if i would need to go via the PS3 or can plug into the tv directly once i have put the Blu Ray movie onto the media centre/player or Hard Drive
Can someone please advise what the easiest and most cost effective way to go about this?
Thanks in advance for any advice

You will probably not get the desired results by backing up your purchased Bluray movies to BD25 and attempting to play them on a PS3. A backup Bluray movie will play on pretty much any Bluray player except for the PS3. At the end of the exercise the original Bluray disks were safe from the kids (unintentional) attempts to ruin them, but the backups are coasters as far as the PS3 is concerned.

I like method 4
So i would need to buy or download windows 7 firstly. And Secondly i would need to get a blu ray reader.
In regards to ripping blu rays to my PC, how does one do this? Is it as simple as creating a folder and then transferring the entire contents of the blu ray disc i have just inserted across to the newly created file? Or would i just transfer a specific file?
If i was to download a Blu Ray movie via a torrent site, could i stream that to my PS3 as well with WMP12?
