Hello,
I've been extremely frusterated with Easycap 2.0. I just received mine today and installed it correctly (as you will see).
The main reason I got it is so I can get the wireless camera on my vexplorer (little robot) would work on my computer. After I installed Easycap and turned on my camera's wireless receiver (without the camera being on) and the screen does those white lines a TV would do (the ones left from the big bang!) .. Then I proceed to turn on the camera and I get a really bad glitch or something and the capturing in ULEAD freezes and I get a really rough image of what the camera saw when it was turned on (and it freezes)...
I wanted to see if it was the camera or receiver and I tried a different camera/receiver and it does the same thing... I turn on the receiver and ULEAD shows the white TV lines from the receiver, and then I turn on the camera and ULEAD freezes my screen and all I have is a frozen image of what the camera saw when it was turned on (mind you this image is black and white and the camera is color, plus the white lines all over it) -- please help!!!!
P.S if needed I can record a vide of exactly what it does... (I recorded one and played it back and it turns out the audio works fairly good when I turn on the camera but it's the video output that is bad)

Well, if it makes any of you feel better, I don't have an answer to the question either.

Can someone at least just type anything to let me know anyone is alive out there? Just a "." will do.

Trust me man, this place is useless. I'd find somewhere else where people actually respond to you.

No... Trust me... This forum is informative but you should provide as much detail as possible about the device.
Brand name and model of camera ?
Did you check their website for updated drivers package?
Have you tried other capture programs other than ulead?
All these and more tests will pin point the exact problem.
I myself have a similar device and found if the camera isnt recieving proper 3.3v+ then all hell can happen ... capture apps freezing and such.
When you return with more information we will be able to assist you in locating the fault in question -
I don't know anything about that particular device but odd cameras like that often don't work with general video capture software. You have to use the software that comes with it.
I did a little searching. It soulds like the camera broadcasts standard NTSC video on an over-the-air channel (probably 2, 3, or 4):
More than a mere toy, the Revell Vexplorer boasts its own built-in spy camera, transmitting live color pictures with sound to any standard television. Utilizing a camera receiver module box, it broadcasts video over distances up to 150 feet.
1) Can you watch video from the camera on a TV set to the appropriate channel?
2) Can you capture other over-the-air broadcasts with the capture device? Try the coax output from a VCR or old video game.
3) Maybe you have interference from another over-the-air broadcast device?
4) Make sure the capture device and software is set up to capture NTSC, not PAL. The symptoms you describe sound a lot like what you get when you have this problem.
5) Update to the latest drivers and software for the capture device.
6) There are many devices call "Easycap". If you give the manufacturer's name and exact model number you might get more precise suggestions from others who have the same device. -
Have you considered contacting the support section of the manufacturers of either the robot and/or the "capture card" ?

Hello All, Please welcome a luddite in your midst! I am having trouble even understanding the questions, but I'm thinking of having Stevegrabber put up for sainthood! I bought an easygrabber too, and I just want to get my old family videos onto DVD. I've loaded the software as provided. Next step I thought was to connect to my video player. Right? The easycap plugs are all female, as are the plugs in the video player, so I guess my first step is an adaptor which has the four plugs. Right so far?
And then if I get that far - and I know this is a really, really dopey question - am I meant to have the video player set to play to do the recording? -
The information out there with re-sellers confused me for a while...
EasyCAP 002 Grabber is not going to work. From all that I've tried with various systems.
EasyCAP 001 Wireless Camera Receiver is the system.
I believe that you can download the software for this seperately (maybe even a foc trial), and perhaps it may work with some systems and EasyCAP 002, but I personally doubt it.
I bought it (EasyCAP 002) to link a FlyCamOne wireless receiver for my son's R/C Buggy camera to link directly to laptop, rather than plug the leads into a TV.
I'm now, today, looking at EasyCAP 001 options!
Good Luck...
