I tried to play mkv movies. first, it was pretty good to play but cant detect subs files (i put subs under the same name with video in one folder)
i tried to mux subs and make it hardsub with mkvmergeGUI but i cant play the movie (playback not available) in other tv (Sharp Aquos M420) can play the sound only, no picts
is Sony LCD TV BX311 doesnt support .srt or any subtitle files ??
is there any other way to play movie from hard drive/flashdisk/etc on Sony LCD TV BX311??? (*with subtitle)

if you're using a RM-GA020 (the stock remote control) you wont be able to produce the subtitle(.srt) on screen.. you need to buy a RM-GD020 to do it...and do these steps :
1Press the green "Power" button on the Sony remote control to turn your TV on.
2Press the green "Power" button on the Sony remote control to turn your TV on.
3Press the purple "Menu" button.
4Navigate to the menu "Setup" by pressing the "arrow down" key.
5Press the "arrow right" key to get to the "Setup" options on the right panel.
6Navigate to the option "Closed Captions (CC)" by pressing the "arrow up" or "arrow down" key.
7Press the "arrow right" key and select "On." Then press "Enter" button.
8Press the "arrow down" key to get to the sub-option "Basic."
9Press the "arrow right" key and select "CC1."
10Press "Enter" button and then "Menu."
say "thanks" if ok
