Hi, I`ve been trying for ages to do as the title says and do not get a picture when using `IMPORT`in Pinnacle Studio 14 or 15 using the Canopus ADVC-55, I have tried changing IEE1934 to Legacy, I have tried a LaCie FW 800 Card PCI-Express Card without and with alteration to Legacy, no joy, if you write to Pinnacle they say that as they don`t produce the device they don`t support it, so in view of my difficulties, I assume they write code to support only their Dazzle devices to stop people using other companies products, I don`t know,...yet I have see in these forum pages some people using Canopus devices with Studio, but not seen how they achieved this.....I AM however able to use the ADVC-55 with Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 plus and could import their file to Studio (I prefer Studio for editing apart from this import problem!) Anyone know how to get Studio working with the ADVC-55 please, thank you.![]()

In the user interface when capturing, is there a "play" button to control the DV camcorder that it thinks is connected? If so, try pressing it.
Just a wild idea that I think worked 7 versions ago.
Cheers,
