  1. Ok, I have extract mpeg video from my dvds (originally vhs to dvd transfers). These are one hour episodes of old programs with commercials still in them.

    I have edited out commercials in AVS Video ReMaker and want to both save the edited mpeg file to a backup hard drive, but also re-burn to another dvd.

    What is the best way to burn this? Should I re-save as mpeg-2 or mpeg-4...what's the difference?

    I want to burn this edited file to a dvd-r without ANY quality loss compared to my original dvd.

    DVD is MPEG2.....DVD is ONLY MPEG2

    There are dozens of free or very inexpensive MPEG cutters. I use MPEGVCR myself. I've never heard of AVS Video ReMaker but their website looks like a malware/spyware factory.
