Can a Laptop with an Esata port Hook up to an Internal Bluray Writer? Because I notice that the Internal Blu Ray Writers are faster and cheaper than the external ones that use USB to do bluray writing.
So Can I just buy a powerful Laptop (i5 2430M processor), with 8Gb memory, and an ESATA PORT, and then buy an Internal Blu Ray writer, like the:
Pioneer BDR-206BKS
and hook it up to the Laptop and BURN/WRITE away? Or do I need something else for this to work?

To hook a eSATA connection to a SATA connection, you just need a SATA cable with a eSATA connector on one end and a SATA connector, (For the drive) on the other end. These are fairly common. Keep them short, though, about 3 feet. (1 Meter)
Then you need to supply 12VDC to the SATA drive. You can get external power supplies with the proper connector for that. This assumes a bare drive laying on your desk. You could also get a external 5.25" enclosure for your drive that would have a power supply and a eSATA connector already. Cooldrives have a few enclosures: http://www.cooldrives.com/525usbfircas.html Others are available if you look around a bit.
