  1. I have created several SVCD`s using captured AVI files ( using Pinnacle Studio) and have encoded them using Tempeng and burnt them to disc using Nero 5 software.
    These play perfectly on my Toshiba 220 but on a Phillips 7000 they pause for 1 second every 19 seconds exactly. A commercial SVCD plays perfectly, however.
    Being fairly new to the whole VCdD SVCD game I have used default settings in both Tempeng and Nero but feel I must be missing something vital.
    Can anyone out there help?

  2. I'm probably not the most qualified to answer your question since TMPGEnc is the only thing we have in common.

    But it sounds like your Philips player won't accept as high a bitrate as the Toshiba. Try lowering the bitrate some when encoding in TMPGEnc and see if that cures it.
