Im looking at these two video cards are there any opinions on which one is better?

Definitely the 8500DV: better capture AND better 3D performance.
That should be an easy choice. -
Why not a Geforce4 Ti 4200? This beats the ATI in gaming performance...

It doesn't beat the 8500 in 3D and the AIWs have much better real-time MPEG encoding.
